For Healthy Life Forum has come to a close
The 3rd International Forum on Preventing Noncommunicable Diseases and Promoting Healthy Lifestyle - For Healthy Life - has had its closing plenary session. It was moderated by Nikolai Gerasimenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Health Care and a member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
The delegates discussed and adopted a draft resolution of the forum, which contained specific recommendations for the Russian Government, Ministry of Health Care, regional executive authorities, businesses and business associations.
The recommendations are designed to, specifically, promote the prevention of noncommunicable diseases and encourage healthy living habits among people in the country. That will lead to increased longevity of the population due to reduced mortality from noncommunicalbe diseases and distructive habits.
The delegates highly commended Expocentre Fairgrounds for the work the company had done to stage the event and expressed their wish for the forum to be held at the venue annually.
