The Russian Ministry of Health Care has entered the joint Organizing Committee of the International Scientific and Practical Forum Russian Health Care Week and International Forum on Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Healthy Lifestyle Promotion “For Healthy Life 2014”, which will run at Expocentre Fairgrounds from December 8 to12, 2014. This information was in the letter written by Deputy Minister of Health Care Tatyana Yakovleva to the co-chairman of the Organizing Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Aleksander Torshin.
The letter says that “the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation hereby confirms its participation in the joint Organizing Committee. We hope that Forums will be a good communication platform for implementing medical and social initiatives and an example of effective networking between public authorities, health officials, education and culture, mass media, employers, nonprofit organizations, and sustainable businesses in the field of maintenance and promotion of citizens’ health”.
Co-chairmen of the Organizing Committee are Aleksander Torshin, Tatyana Yakovleva and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Health Protection of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Nikolay Gerasimenko sent invitations with recommendation from the Russian Ministry of Health Care for the heads of health authorities to participate in the Russian Health Care Week 2014 Forum.
“This largest exhibition and convention project in the field of health care, as the invitation letter says, is carried out by the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health Care of the Russian Federation and Expocentre ZAO. The project is supported by the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Government, the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Office of the World Health Organization in the Russian Federation. The state status of the event is confirmed by welcome addresses from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev”.
Co-chairmen of the Organizing Committee also inform that the Forum will traditionally bring together such international trade shows as Healthy Lifestyle and Zdravookhraneniye on the exhibition space of more than 50,000 sqm. Over 30,000 specialists are expected to take part in the Russian Health Care Week 2014. The key event of the Week is the 5th International Forum on Non-Communicable Disease Prevention “For Healthy Life”. Its aim is to showcase the latest practices in promotion and implementation of healthy lifestyle among the population.
The heads of the Organizing Committee are positive that “the Forum will enable health officials and doctors from all regions of the country to obtain new information, share experience, improve the quality of medical services and make them available.”
